"requirement that cannot be met until a prerequisite requirement is met, however, the prerequisite cannot be obtained until the original requirement is met."
-urbandictionary.com Joseph Heller is surely a genius. Over the summer, one of the choice readings was Catch 22 (click for a quick summary). The more I read the story, the more interesting it became. Everything that Yossarian was trying to achieve was being blocked by 'Catch 22.' As ridiculous as 'Catch 22' may sound, I think it portrays the real life as it is. Many things in life are impossible (YES! "Impossible is nothing" is not really true). And 'Catch 22' portrays that. A new vocabulary to our society given by Heller: Catch 22. I don't know how he came up with the whole concept by himself but... I LOVE THE WORD AND WHAT IT IMPLIES! I certainly loved the book and if I had to rate it, I would give it **** / *****. Just because I thought some parts of the book was going overboard with satires and just making the readers lose their mind. :-) Labels: Catch 22, Joseph Heller, summer, summer reading
